Jon Winder, Clinical Director
Working at the Madeline Centre has been a source of inspiration for me. I greatly value the work we do and the manner in which we do it. The Madeline Centre exemplifies true compassion along with clinical excellence to provide the most effective treatment for the children and families we serve. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Florida. I have been in private practice for over 25 years and have worked with children, adolescents, and in home programs for over 20 years. I have also worked in emergency mental health at the Lynchburg General Hospital and taught counseling classes at Central Virginia Community College. Of all the places I have worked, The Madeline Centre has been the best in its commitment to its clients, referral sources and employees. In my spare time I like to work in the garden, meditate, and swim at the Y. I also volunteer on the weekends for Legacy International Program, which works with children and adults from all over the world to create peace and foster harmony. I have been happily married for 30 years to my wife, Lila. She has been my best friend and consultant always guiding me in a positve direction.
