I am currently the onsite Tutor for our Kaleidoscope tutoring program, located in Danville, VA, for the secondary-aged children. I am also a certified Registered Behavioral Technician within our BAS program. While I do not have any formal education outside of high school, I have been immersed in the educational community for over 17 years. I have homeschooled my son, Kirkland, from preschool through 12th grade. I have also worked within the homeschool community with students from diverse backgrounds for over 10 years. I served as an administrator for Danville School of Arts and Science, where I was responsible for procuring enrollment, clerical and financial duties, as well as working closely with the students and their families. Following my son’s graduation, I worked at Westover Christian Academy as a teacher’s aide, as well as the school secretary. I later moved on to working as a one-on-one aide at White Oak Day School for 3 years with special needs students before joining the team at TMC in 2014.
I joined The Madeline Centre to further aid students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the educational field. I have found TMC to be a family, who works together, to go above and beyond for our clients to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
I have also acquired certifications in the following areas:
Registered Behavioral Tech
Paraprofessionals Discrete Trial Training with VCCU
Therapeutic Options Training
Child Abuse and Neglect, Blood Borne Pathogens
Introductory Sign Language
First Aid & CPR
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Bryan, and our son, Kirkland. My husband and I have been married for 22 years. As a family, we enjoy spending time running, riding bikes, hiking, spending time on the water, or anything else that gets us outside. I am an advocate for a healthy lifestyle. I also attend Brentwood Church in Forest, VA and stay highly active in my community.
